I stopped and FELT the moments today as my family gathered at a restaurant in celebration of my cousin’s graduation. we were all so happy. new baby. alhamdulillah (All Praise is due to God) my cousins have grown into responsible adults, mashaAllah (God willed it), each of us having a mother and/or father to witness our growth and achievements. alhamdulillah. each of us breathing and alive. alhamdulillah. I was able to know my mom’s mother, and I even grew up with her. Alhamdulillah. I was able to know such amazing people, who are still here and who have passed away. Each person has added some priceless gem into my life in the form of a virtue. I pray that I do as much as I can to be purpose-driven at every point in my life. Everyone has a blessing staring them right in the face. Everyone, in every situation has something amazing in their life to be thankful for. Just pause and savor the real moments in your life—the times when you are truly happy, the times that get you through melancholy and just praise the One who is meant to be praised. Because only He could have orchestrated such a beautiful plan.

“aunty got called a jihadi because she’s taking a tajweed class. how extreme.funny thing is she decorates her house as if its fourth of July everyday.” -Sania Sufi #desis
I just need You to talk to me like You did before

“It’s okay not to be okay. Sometimes it’s hard to follow your heart. But tears don’t mean you’re losing. Everybody’s bruising. Just be true to who you are.”
“brushing my hair….do I look perfect? I forgot what to do to fit the mold. The more I try, the less it’s working. Cuz everything inside me screams no, no, no”
sometimes the you don’t know what your missing until you remind yourself of your origin and that at some time and some place—unimaginable and unfathomable…you were once His!
Because this is a beautiful verse:
And those who have been given knowledge see that what is revealed to you from your Lord is the truth, and it guides to the path of the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy. (6)
